Hello new and old friends!

We had a wonderful time meeting everyone who came to our booth at WorldFest and want to thank you for helping make the day such a success. For those of you outside of Los Angeles, we sincerely hope you have a chance to attend a similar festival where you can surround yourself with conscious and compassionate people, eat fantastic vegan food, and hear great speakers like Rory Freedman and Kathy Freston. (More on them to come.) If there is an event coming up in your town you think we should attend, please let us know (connect@earthlings.com).

If you were kind enough to buy a DVD or t-shirt at WorldFest, your contribution directly supports programs to:

The Belgian city of Ghent has declared 'Meatless Thursdays.' All government employees, including elected officials, will omit meat one day a week. Schoolchildren will also observe the meat-out when the fall session begins.

"In Vauban, an experimental new district on the outskirts of Freiburg, near the French and Swiss borders, streets are completely "car-free" - except the main thoroughfare, where the tram to downtown Freiburg runs, and a few streets on one edge of the community. As a result, 70 percent of Vauban's families do not own cars, and 57 percent sold a car to move here."
