Hey Alex! I loved your drawings.

We are going to release our first CD with my band on December, and I told the guys if I could do some presentation (not sure what kind yet) related to Veganism and Animal Rights. They were very open to the idea (although none of them is vegan ). We have had some debates on the issues and they "agree" with my points - of course, they don't seem to feel the urge to be consistent with what they agree with!. Anyway, I wonder if I could use some of your drawings! I'm not sure... maybe I'll make some kind of video with different pictures to show it, or maybe just photos in some wall.

Alex, this is great work.

Far and away, my favorite is the one with the woman with a carcass strapped to her body. It's the most powerful, disturbing, and artistic.

Thanks a lot for the comments guys! I've done all sorts of drawings before, but these drawings were by far the most significant and meaningful ones I've done. I will definitely be doing more art related to AR issues, for sure. Sorry that some of the pics are horizontal, I'm absolutely hopeless with computers so I didn't know how to correct this. For those wishing to print or include the pics in their own work, feel free to do so (its actually flattering haha) So to Sam and Paula, go for it! I'm definitely more 'realistic' inclined when I draw and most of the pics where either taken from photos or stills from Earthlings. The drawings of the dairy cow chained to the stall, the veal calf, and the cattle being branded were from Earthlings (I actually just paused on these spots and drew straight off these moments) as for the pig and the chick and egg those were my own concepts, and the boy and the woman were drawn from photos. The woman with the carcass is one of my favourites, and it was actually a photo by the cuban artist Tania Bruguera. The photo was disturbing in itself, but what drew me to it was perhaps the name of the piece "El Peso de la Culpa", which I really liked. Anyhow, thanks for the comments everyone, I'll be sure to put some more pics up as they come!

If you have any links to Bruegera or the artists you sourced please provide -- I looked quickly but can't find just yet. Surely you're familiar with Philip Pearlstein? Also Alice Neel -- when I was younger I didn't like or understand her style ... but in later years saw her work here in NY at the Whitney and got "it". She doesn't sugar coat her portraits or any subject matter.

The AR movement needs you. Hope you publically display your work -- have shows.

I just don't have enough room in my heart to respect the lives of the oppressors. If they all suffered painful, torturous deaths tomorrow, it would bring a smile to my face.

Even better yet, if they got abducted by aliens who have a similar lack of respect for dissimilar life forms, perhaps the oppressors would get farmed and exploited themselves on a far away planet, leaving all vegans to enjoy Earth in peaceful bliss.
