I heard about Earthlings on the animal liberation victoria website (
www.alv.org.au) and went and picked up a copy yesterday (FYI - if you want to see a fine example of a vegan you should drop in if you're ever in melbourne, that guy is definitely not undernourished oh and they also have good vegan cheese).
So anyway, I watched it last night, or should I say listened to it. I thought I'd seen some pretty gruesome horror movies before but nothing compares to the footage in earthlings, the worst part is you can't even console yourself with 'it's not real'. I've been vegetarian since I was 18 and found a backbone to stick up for my beliefs, i've recently become a vegan. I know a couple of people who are definitely on the edge of becoming vegetarian and this documentary would easily push them over. I'll be distributing it this weekend.
