I got a friend request from vegalitarian.org on MySpace and found Shaun Monsons Interview about speciecism on their page. I found it interesting and googled the whole thing. That is how I found out about Earthlings.

After watching the movie I was deeply disturbed. As the movie states, everyone knows a bit, but most shield themselfes from the truth. I did not know the full truth. I knew bits and pieces. Though I forced myself to keep watching the movie. And when I say "forced", I mean exactly that. There where three or four times, when I wanted to turn it off, though I didn't. I kept watching it.

The movie left me with one big question: What should I do to prevent it? To stop it from happening all around me. For example try to find a good pair of shoes without leather. Try to completely avoid animal products. Would that even be the solution? I would still be forced to live in a society that makes it really hard to follow that rule. There must be others out there, who think alike me. Where can I find them? And not only animals. What about the climate and saving Earth in general? Is there a country I could move to, that does more than other countries?

Advice would be greatly appreciated, as I really would want to do something to help.
